Audrey Tautou
Audrey Tautou was born in Beaumont in the French city of Puy-de Domme on 8 August 1976. She was youngest of four children. Her parents encouraged her parents, a dentist, and a teacher and both of them were teachers. They encouraged her to follow her love of acting. This was in contrast to an earlier desire to be a primatologist due to the fact that she adored monkeys. The early success of her career and the rapid rise in fame was a sign of her development as an actor. Her career began in earnest in 1999 the year she first began performing professionally. In the years following her studies, Tautou was a participant in the French talent scouting television programme Jeunes Premiers. Though she was a student at in the Institut Catholique de Paris and attended church in her youth Tautou has distanced herself from her religious upbringing and has stated she's not Catholic. As well as her acting profession she also pursued a modeling career. She is also the spokesperson for L'Oreal Mont Blanc & Chanel and is often referred to as The Chanel Muse. She is a keen photographer and produced a recent exhibition during the Arles International Festival titled Superficial. The majority of her photographs concern the spotlight and fame. They also feature self-portraits as well. Audrey Tautou rose to fame and acclaim with her big part in the film Le Fabuleux in the film d'Amelie Pouulain. Amelie was an international box-office film that received acclaim during awards ceremonies across the world. It's the highest-grossing French film made in America. The film's success has led to Tautou being cast in a range of roles, including British dramas like Dirty Pretty Things by Stephen Knight and Jean Pierre Jeunet to Hollywood's The Da Vinci Code with Tom Hanks.
